Don McCubbing
Don has 20 years as a fisheries researcher and team leader. Educated at the University of London, England, since founding InStream in 1998, he has consulted for private firms, provincial and federal agencies, and utilities. He has led numerous projects that pioneered new understanding and solutions for sustaining salmon and trout populations in western Canada.
Lloyd Burroughs
Lloyd brings a life long enthusiasm for being outdoors to the fisheries field. His 15 years experience in mechanics and fabrication proved invaluable, when in 1995 he started at the Keogh River Research Project. Currently as supervisor of the Keogh field studies and technician for InStream he utilizes his skills for design and construction for fish traps, electronic counter systems, and watershed restoration projects.
Peter Troffe
Peter is native to south coastal BC and obtained a background in population ecology and fish taxonomy from the University of British Columbia. He has been working in freshwater and marine fisheries and aquatic research in western North America for the past 15 years. Before joining the InStream team he was curator of the Royal BC Museum fish collection and a research biologist with DFO Canada.
Caroline Melville
Caroline grew up in Ucluelet, BC gaining a first hand knowledge of the value of our salmon resource. In 1982 she started working at the local salmon hatchery as a high school summer student returning every year until the completion of the 2 year Associate degree in Fisheries and Aquaculture from Malaspina College. Over the past 15 years she has led various enumeration and restorations projects in the pursuit of a sustainable future for Pacific salmon populations.
Jason Ladell
Jason has been involved with fisheries projects in British Columbia for over nearly 15 years. He has worked on a variety of marine and freshwater research programs both as a project leader and a field technician. Jason joined Instream in 2004 after the recent completion of his Masters degree at UBC.
